In Lisa Larsen’s shoes

I remember going to bed after photographing for a couple of hours on the first night, my heart still pounding in my chest. So many impressions, everything was new, the clothes, the traditions, the music… I’d never shot a Sikh wedding before. But these first couple of hours left me exhilarated. What is tomorrow going to bring? I felt like a LIFE photographer, I couldn’t help but wonder how would Lisa Larsen photograph an event like this?

I photographed with awe, and admiration, and surprise and with deep respect for traditions. For them the start of a lifetime full of memories, for me, one of the great experiences my camera has given me. One I will treasure forever.
