Most wedding photographers want to be invisible. Gian Cescon does not.

Born in Italy and raised in the Dominican Republic, he spent over a decade in fashion and commercial photography before bringing that training. He arrives at a celebration not as a shadow working the edges of the room, but as another guest who happens to carry a camera. He is noticed. That is the point. His theory is simple: people relax around someone comfortable in their own skin. By the time he raises the camera, the moment is already real.

The established families of the Caribbean who have trusted him with their most private celebrations know that his photographs feel like memory precisely because he was there—warm, present, and at ease. It is the kind of access that only comes from being trusted, not tolerated.

In early 2025 he opened his first solo exhibition of fine art prints. He is based in Dominican Republic and available for commissions in Europe and beyond.
