Monica Muñoz (Caracas) and Pablo Rodríguez “PoL” (Spain) are the artists behind The Richters.

For more than fifteen years, they have worked together documenting weddings through photography and film. Their practice moves away from conventional wedding imagery, focusing instead on raw, bold, intimate, and emotionally charged narratives.

Through a contemporary documentary language, they explore the transformation of ritual and human connection. Their work centers on couples who construct their celebrations from individuality, equality, and affection rather than inherited conventions.

Their images are built through fragments, gestures, atmospheres, and emotional tensions rather than linear storytelling. Positioned between documentary and poetic observation, their work reflects changing social narratives around love, identity, and partnership, with a perspective that is feminist, inclusive, and deeply human.
